How Long Is Each Treatment?
How long is each treatment? How many treatments will I need?
The initial visit will run slightly longer than regular visits, because information about your medical and family history, life situation, as well as information from a brief physical examination are gathered. Acupuncture is based upon harmony among all the features and characteristics of a person (mind, body, and spirit), and all aspects of a person’s life must be addressed, including lifestyle stresses and symptoms. From this visit, the underlying energetic imbalance influencing your wellbeing will be determined.
At following visits, a brief update on your life situation, symptoms and bodily systems is taken. Treatment is designed to restore balance, remove obstructions, and replenish Qi. The average session lasts about 30 minutes, and the number of sessions an individual needs will vary. Some conditions may only require a couple of visits while more persistent cases may require up to 15 or more sessions. Usually, after six weeks of weekly sessions, your energy begins to maintain a balanced state for longer intervals, and the time between sessions will increase (so you will have treatments less often). To maintain health and balance in the body, Acupuncture sessions at the change of seasons or during times of stress present an opportunity to adjust minor imbalances.
People often report other advantages to Acupuncture, such as increased energy and vitality, more restorative sleep, healthier appetite, more enjoyment of life, better handling of stress and an overall sense of well being in addition to treating their chief concern.3D Spine Simulator
